Abstract: Enzymatic methylatransferase reactions are of crucial importance for cellular metabolism, and S-adenosyl-L-methionine is the main donor of the methyl group. DNA, RNA, proteins, and low-molecular-weight compounds are the substrates of methyltransferases.
