Abstract:Surface properties of the dodecyl isothiouronium cationic surfactant in a mixed solvent of water and polyethylene glycol of different molecular weights varied from ethylene glycol to polyethylene glycol‐600 were determined using surface tension and conductivity measurements. The results showed an increase in the surface properties including critical micelle concentration, effectiveness and efficiency, compared to the surfactant in pure water as the solvent. The interaction between the cationic surfactant and t… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
