“…Successful resuscitative efforts in these situations are the result of a combination of surgical control of bleeding, administration of fluids and blood products, use of vasoactive medications, and intervention on hemostatic pathways in the context of a coordinated interdisciplinary effort during the perioperative period. 2 Here we present a patient with PAS who underwent cesarean hysterectomy with massive bleeding and supra-massive blood product transfusion. Timely and decisive obstetric and anesthetic actions led to maternal survival and discharge from the hospital.…”
