Social innovation generates new solutions for the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. However, little is known about the contributions of entrepreneurship to social innovation in postconflict contexts such as Colombia. Thus, the objective of this paper is to map the global dynamics of the literature on this subject and the approaches from which it has been conceptualized in Colombia. For this, a descriptive study was carried out, with a comprehensive bibliographic review in Scopus. As a result, a worldwide growth of publications is evidenced, with significant Colombian participation. This production postulates that the formation of social enterprise(s) transcends the level of social innovation through access to social capital. This would make it possible to connect intersectoral policies and resources to support social entrepreneurship (still scarce) with excluded territories and communities, transforming dominant cultural patterns. Thus, it is concluded that the dominant approach in the study of the phenomenon is structuralist, and that it is necessary to deepen the agentic centred approach, through the lens of the mindset from social entrepreneurs who lead the transition to social innovation.
