“…This can be mainly attributed to the Si–O bond in the molecular chain. This Si–O bond is easy to rotate, which can reduce the brittleness of the cross-linking system [ 16 ]. The fracture surface of the ternary resin is scaly and shows better uniformity.…”

“…Jiang Shufang et al [ 15 ] reported the use of the silicone-modified epoxy resin during this process and the silicone group was introduced into the cross-linking network of the epoxy resin by formation of covalent bonds. Compared with the unmodified epoxy resin, the modified epoxy resin has a lower glass transition temperature and better mechanical properties [ 16 ]. More importantly, the epoxy resin was toughened significantly by the introduction of silicon–oxygen bonds, but the temperature resistance performance was not improved further.…”

“…The increase of fiber surface roughness contributes to better surface wettability and mechanical interlocking effect, which can enhance the interfacial adhesion between the PI yarn and GO. 38 After the pristine PI and M-PI yarns had undergone the repeated dip-coating and reducing process 10 times, PI/RGO and M-PI/RGO yarns were obtained and are shown in Figure 3. The pristine PI (Figure 3 uneven and aggregates in some areas, which would lead to poor conductivity (Figure 3(d)).…”

“…A large number of studies have shown that the mechanical properties of the interface are different from those of the matrix. [11][12][13][14][15] Therefore, the stress on the interface will be underestimated from the matrix's stress approximation, resulting in inaccurate prediction of the failure strength of the composite. In our work, an improvement is made on the basis of original RVE, namely, the RVE is geometrically decomposed into three parts, fiber region, matrix region, and a zero thickness interface layer which is inserted by the function of high version ABAQUS.…”
