“…As proposed by Choi et al, the different morphologies and distribution of reinforcements play important roles in strengthening and toughening the composites . Equiaxial TiC particles on the network boundary, are chemically compatible with Ti6Al4V alloys, thus they can play a positive role in delaying the crack initiation, which contributes to the ductility of the composites . In addition, compared with those conventional composites with a homogeneous reinforcement distribution, the (TiC + Ti 3 SiC 2 + Ti 5 Si 3 )/Ti6Al4V composite with a network structure exhibits both superior strength and ductility.…”
