To improve the performance of conventional phase-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) converter, this paper presents a three-leg-based full-bridge with active current doubler rectifier, which used two full-bridge structures and an active current multiplier rectifier. The converter overcomes the shortcomings of traditional converters such as narrow soft switching range and large output filter inductance. In addition, the converter solves the circulating loss of existing current doubler converter and improves the voltage gain. By using two auxiliary switches on the rectifier side, soft switching of all switches is achieved. An experimental model with a power of 1kW, input voltage of 220–400V, and output voltage of 100V is designed to justify the feasibility of this converter.
