INTERLEUKIN-1, INTERLEUKIN-6, AND ANTAGONIST INTERLEUKIN-1RECEPTOR AS MEMORY IMPAIRMENT RISK FACTOR IN COMPLEX PARTIAL EPILEPSY

Abstract: Memory impairment is one of the most common adverse following epilepsy, particularly complexpartial epilepsy. Cytokines physiologically play an important role in memory impairment by preventing long term potentiation process in hypocampus.
