Abstract:Intermediate mass fragment emission for reactions of 32 S + 51 V, 109 Ag, and 238 U has been studied. Double differential cross sections were analysed in terms of the generalised moving source model yielding charge distributions. Isotope ratios show strong fragment mass dependencies. The data were successfully reproduced by the coalescence model as well as by statistical multifragmentation model calculations. Quantum molecular dynamics model calculations were not so successful.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
