Intermittent Auscultation of the Fetal Heart Rate in Low-Risk Labor
Kirsten Wisner
Abstract:Intermittent auscultation as a method of fetal assessment during labor is appropriate for low-risk women in labor yet is not widely used in the United States. Our maternity nursing expert, Dr. Wisner, covers the newly published practice monograph on intermittent auscultation from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses. Dr. Wisner is the first author of that publication.
