Intermittent Sampled Data Control for Time‐Varying Formation‐Containment of the Multiagent System with/without Time Delay

Abstract: Time-varying formation-containment problems for a second-order multiagent system (SOMAS) are studied via pulse-modulated intermittent control (PMIC) in this paper. A distributed control framework utilizing the neighbors’ positions and velocities is designed so that leaders in the multiagent system form a formation, and followers move to the convex hull formed by each leader. Different from the traditional formation-containment problems, this paper applies the PMIC framework, which is more common and more in li… Show more

“…(32) with j = 2 is obtained by pre-and post-multiplying diag{I m ⊗  z2 , I mn , I mn } to (37) and using the Schur complement. Furthermore, pre-and post-multiply diag{I m ⊗  z,1 , I mn }, z = 0, 1, 2, … , M k − 1, and diag{I m ⊗  M k ,1 , I mn } to (38) and ( 39) respectively, we have (33) and (34). Hence, all the conditions of Theorem 3 are satisfied and the MAS (1) achieves the average consensus via the IICer (28).…”

“…Liu et al 34 proposed a novel intermittent impulsive control (IIC) strategy for the first time to solve the problem, and then some research results of IIC emerged. [35][36][37][38][39] Different from general intermittent control, impulsive controls instead of continuous controls are used in the work windows of IIC, which reduce the information redundancy and increase the security. Through introduction of the rest windows, IIC is more convenient for equipment maintenance than aperiodic impulsive control and more flexible than periodic impulsive control.…”

“…On the other hand, many valuable results have been reported on the networked power systems subjected to many network-induced factors, such as communication delays, packet losses, quantization e ects, and event-triggered protocols [24][25][26]. By comparison, potential cyber-attacks may destroy the stability of power systems via a shared communication network.…”
