The factorial moments (FM) of the multiplicity distribution are used to study the deconfinement phase transition in heavy-ion collisions. The relation between FM and the partition number, M, results in positive intermittency exponents, φ q . According to the signatures suggested from certain statistical models, the two-dimensional results of the dependence of φ q /φ 2 , anomalous fractal d q /d 2 , Rényi dimensions R q /R and the normalized exponents ζ q , on the orders of FM are studied in Pb + Pb collisions at 158 A GeV.
