International safeguards for fast critical facilities

Abstract: A study was conducted to investigate various approaches to providing international safeguards for high-inventory fast critical facilities. Twenty-eight options were consiue 3d, ranging from technology intensive to inspector intensive . One option, believed to be a reasonable compromise between the number of inspectors and level of technological sophis tication, was further investigated for its application to a hypothetical model reference facility.
