International Students Labour and School Attendance: Evidence from China

Abstract: Since 2000, an increasing number of scholarship international students have been entering Chinese universities. Government scholarships provide them money each month to pay for a degree, but most of them are engaged in part-time work even if china officially doesn't allow international students to work during their studies.
