Interpretation of some experimental data concerning bent monochromators for synchrotron X-ray radiation

Abstract: Some recent experimental data concerning curved monochromators for X-ray synchrotron radiation have been interpreted by using a simple model based on the dynamical theory of diffraction. In particular, a large gain of about 30 observed for Mo Kc~ radiation by bending a quartz crystal is explained.
