Interpretation of Static Load Tests on the Burj Khalifa’s Foundation Piles

Abstract: For assessing the geotechnical capacity of reinforced concrete bored piles, instrumented static compression load tests are often utilized in high-rise building projects. To better understand the geotechnical characteristics, this article discusses the axial behavior of preliminary compression test piles installed at the Burj Khalifa Foundation in Dubai.
