Interprofessional teamwork: An immersive experience in the Dominican Republic

Abstract: The goal of interprofessional education is to have health profession students deliberatively working together to learn from one another, about one another and with one another. This paper details one university's experience traveling to the Dominican Republic with a group of nursing and medical students to care for patients in some of the most impoverished areas in the country.
