Subsequently, there exist various kinds of screening tools for learning disabilities but most of these screening tools only restricted to static binary output, less attractive, stressful, boring, and time consuming which lead to incomplete activities and unfulfilled objectives. In addition, most of them only targeted on dyslexia, dyscalculia and autism. This preliminary study aims to identify current automated screening tools tailoring for learning disabilities domain. It is guided by several important steps starting from the selection from multiple digital databases (information sources), categorization (study selection), comparison (search and data selection) and summarization of appropriate literature reviews, leading towards a more thorough analysis. Findings indicate that there are various kinds of screening tools available in the market with such different techniques and methods, majorly are interactive and attractive multimedia approaches and artificial intelligence approaches. Thus, the findings are beneficial in the enhancement of future works towards screening and diagnosis in learning disabilities.

Effect of a Reading Intervention on Reading Ability among Children with Specific Reading Disorder

The present study examined the effect of a reading intervention on the reading ability of children with specific reading disorders Ten participants between 7 to 10 years of age who met ICD-10 criteria for specific reading disorder were randomly assigned to an experimental group, or a control group. Intelligence screening was done using the Colored Progressive Matrices. Pre-test and post-test assessment was conducting using the NIMHANS Index for SLD. The intervention group received an 8–9-week reading intervention, 30 minutes per day, on every alternative day of the week. The control group received no intervention. Participants who had received the intervention showed more improvement in reading than controls, and these gains were maintained in a follow up assessment. The majority of the participants in the experimental group performed at their expected grade level on the reading test of NIMHANS SLD post-intervention.

Due to the current kindergarten preschool education being increasingly emphasized, this paper combines intelligent technology to explore, firstly, analyzes the current intelligent learning environment model and designs the intelligent learning environment based on human-computer interaction. Secondly, the emblem elements are integrated into the physical learning environment, combined with intelligent VR technology, gesture interaction recognition based on feature vectors and pose interaction recognition based on vector machines to realize the construction of the smart learning environment. Finally, the interaction performance in the smart learning environment is analyzed based on simulation experiments, and the changes in learning effects are explored. The application yields that young children’s independent ability and social interaction ability increased by 0.5 and 0.48, respectively, and the mathematical thinking ability, artistic creation ability and Hui culture cognitive ability increased by 0.35, 0.39 and 0.32, respectively.
