“…The Cochrane database presented a meta-analysis of research describing the methods of prevention and treatment of pain in the pelvis and spine [34]. On the basis of the analyzed studies, authors found that moderate-quality evidence suggested that acupuncture or exercise, tailored to the stage of pregnancy, significantly reduced evening pelvic pain or lumbopelvic pain more than usual care alone, acupuncture was significantly more effective than exercise for reducing evening pelvic pain [34]. It was also found that physiotherapy, osteopathic manipulation, acupuncture, a multi-modal intervention, or the addition of a rigid pelvic belt to exercise seemed to relieve pelvic or back pain more than usual care alone [34].…”
