Intra‐aortic balloon counterpulsation complicated by limb ischaemia: a reflective commentary

Abstract: Intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation (IABC) is widely used to support the failing myocardium, particularly in patients with a background of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) complicated by cardiogenic shock (CS).
