“…A few cases of intraepidermal SC or intraepidcrmal epitheliomas with sebaceous differentiation (IESD) simi lar to our case have been reported [8][9][10][11]. The first case of multiple intraepidermal SC arising on the lateral aspect of the chest was published by Dupont [8].…”

“…He considered the multiplicity of the tumors to be due to the difference in the growth of the respective tumor, although metastatic proc esses including pagetoid spread cannot be not denied in his case. Haber [9] and Nicolis et al ( 10] also reported on 1 and 2 cases of IESD. respectively.…”

“…2 The general criteria for the diagnosis of carcinoma, including the presence of nuclear atypia and border infiltration, 3,4 are available for poroid neoplasms; however, Abenoza and Ackerman 5 suggested that cuticular cells occasionally manifest cytologic and nuclear polymorphism, and the diagnosis of malignant eccrine poroma should not necessarily be made solely on the basis of cytology. We present a case of eccrine poroma associated with typical Bowenoid changes, review similar cases in the literature, 3,6,7 and briefly discuss the histogenesis.…”

We present a case of eccrine poroma associated with typical bowenoid changes, review similar cases in the literature, 3,6,7 and briefly discuss the histogenesis.…”

“…The results of our staining suggested that carcinomatous cells might be derived from the cuticular elements of pre‐existing eccrine poroma. In all cases identified in the literature, bowenoid features arose within the cluster of cuticular cells 6,7 . It may be speculated that nuclear atypia in the cuticular cells may reflect the biologic behavior and show a greater tendency towards malignant transformation than poroid cells, and that there may be a pathologic continuum according to the degree of nuclear dysplasia.…”
