Abstract:Intraoperative radiofrequency ablation of the left atrium combined with an operation for organic heart disease effectively eliminates atrial fibrillation without significant prolongation of the aortic cross-clamp and operative time. The presence of coronary artery disease decreases the success rate during the first 6 postoperative months.
