Intraoperative ultrasonography in open and laparoscopic abdominal surgery: an overview

Abstract: This article reviews the current state of intraoperative ultrasonography in open surgery (IOUS) and laparoscopic surgery (LUS). The review is based on extensive study of data published (Pubmed search) and on 25 years of personal experience with intraoperative ultrasonography.
