Intraoperative ultrasound and prophylactic ursodiol for gallstone prevention following laparoscopic gastric bypass

Abstract: IOUS during LRYGB efficiently screens for gallstones, and selective cholecystectomy followed by prophylactic ursodiol results in low morbidity. Improvements in compliance may lower the incidence of postoperative gallstone formation.
