Abstract: Background Correct identification of those patients presenting with an acute vestibular syndrome (AVS) or an acute imbalance syndrome (AIS) that have underlying posterior-circulation stroke (PCS) and thus may benefit from revascularization (intravenous thrombolysis (IVT), endovascular therapy (EVT)) is important.
