Intrinsic geometry of collider observations and forman Ricci curvature
Jyotiranjan Beuria
Abstract:We study the global and local topological properties of multilepton patterns reconstructed at the detectors. We investigate the sensitivity of Forman Ricci curvature distributions and persistent homology features to kinematic cuts, integrated luminosity, and scales of maximum filtration. We find that these topological properties are efficient enough in discriminating the beyond Standard Model (BSM) scenarios from the SM background, when the BSM scenarios possess a massive invisible particle. We also find that … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
