This article aims to give an account of the digital narratives used by women activists to counter environmental denialism during the 2022 election period in Brazil. There is still little research that addresses the topic, especially through women ́s lenses on a specific timeframe, such as elections. The article is based on a netnography of the publications on Instagram during the months of August and September 2022, to identify the strategies used by women cyberactivists to counter environmental denialism through their digital narratives. Data were gathered through desk research and non-participatory observation, incorporating specific inclusive criteria, and the netnography process involved a thematic analysis supported by Atlas TI. The study is constrained by limitations in the netnography method, such as ethical considerations necessitating anonymized data from a sample mostly consisting of verified accounts and the limited access to cyberactivists' demographic information. We have identified 5 main strategies from the carried out analysis: Value´s Expression, Emotional Expression, Reasoned Arguments, Collective Action, and Community Building, which was framed in the dimensions Individual, Collective, Subjective and Objective, create meaning through generating identification, action, sense of belonging and creating awareness and movement.The creation and envisioning of new realities happen in the dialogue between the Cyberactivists and their followers, and the success of their activism relies on their capacity of reaching and affecting their followers through their strategies, generating meaning

Histories of kamishibai (paper theater) typically trace its roots to early magic lantern shows, but Iwamoto Kenji questions this development: "At a time when many different audiovisual technologies were tied in some way to modern scientific instruments, kamishibai was made of just pictures and narrative and seemed to be a throwback to Edo-period spectacles" (2002). Iwamoto's dismissal of kamishibai as a "throwback" exposes the limitations of examining any medium in isolation rather than viewing it within an interconnected media ecology. Lyons and Plunkett argue, "In contemporary media practice, 'convergence' stands for the dominance of fusion and transferability between different forms…we are in an era in which media are always used in relation to each other" (2007). While acknowledging that the scale and interconnectedness of new media may be unprecedented, this paper asks whether theories of convergence in media ecologies may also provide new opportunities to reassess older media formats. Through a historical mapping of the transnationally shifting ecologies of magic lanterns and kamishibai through a series of omocha-e (toy-prints) from the Cotsen Children's Library collection (Princeton University Library), this paper demonstrates that kamishibai not only converged with magic-lantern technology through the mediation of omocha-e, but also that the two audio-visual media-kamishibai and magic lanternscontinued to develop in relation to each other, as they moved in tandem over time. The imaginative leap that transferred cinematic animation techniques to paper offers insights into kamishibai's resilience as a medium and its growing popularity around the world today.

The globally growing climate justice movement has drawn attention to the accelerating climate change and the structural changes that climate mitigation would require. At the same time, there has been a surge and normalization of radical and extreme right-wing groups and parties. Their central element is not only ethno-nationalism and authoritarianism but also anti-climate politics, as they seek to obstruct climate politics, mobilize anti-scientific fictions and discredit scientists and activists. The far right’s intimidation of climate justice activists has been studied by examining its textual and visual discourses in online spaces, but less attention has been paid to far-right anti-climate practices in urban spaces. Drawing on social movement geographies, I aim to contribute to the discussions on far-right anti-climate politics by analysing the spatial strategies of the Finnish far-right’s counterprotests (the so-called ‘Nazi camp’) during Extinction Rebellion Finland’s ‘Summer Rebellion’ in June 2021 in Helsinki. By doing so, I show that far-right anti-climate politics (in the form of climate scepticism and intimidation of climate activists) are not limited to online spaces but emerge through different strategies in urban spaces by which the far-right competes for control over space and visibility and shapes public narratives of climate change and politics.
