Abstract:Background: Standard practice for management of food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome (FPIES) frequently requires the use of hypoallergenic semi-elemental or elemental formulas. For some patients, there is poor tolerance of these formulas and no improvement of gastrointestinal symptoms.
