Introduction of the School Health Program in the city of Cascavel, Paraná State: report of nurses

Abstract: it is understood that the actions of the program were based on health assessments of students, and it is necessary for professionals and managers to discuss and analyze the obstacles identified to achieve all the proposed objectives.

“…The results corroborate with the literature when they address the multi-factorial nature of childhood obesity as a disease [1][2] and, although it has some relation with genetics, it is less expressive than lifestyle and cultural habits, such as inadequate food in quality and quantity, added to physical inactivity.
