Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision-Making Model Based on Weighted Induced Distance Measure and Its Application to Investment Selection

Abstract: This paper investigates an intuitionistic fuzzy multiple attribute decision-making method based on weighted induced distance and its application to investment selection. Specifically, an intuitionistic fuzzy weighted induced ordered weighted averaging operator is proposed to eliminate the drawbacks of existing methods by extending the functions of the order-induced variables. The main advantage of the proposed operator is its dual roles of the order-inducing variables that can simultaneously induce arguments a… Show more

“…Fuzzy logic was used by Zhang [29] to assess commercial viability of technology start-up businesses in a government venture capital, while Shen and Tzeng [30] developed a fuzzy inferenceenhanced VC-DRSA model for technical analysis of the investment. Other researches have been conducted in the area of: knowledge management performance measurement of small and medium enterprises [31], social behavior modeling [32], measuring customer loyalty [33], e-commerce [34], MADM (multi-attribute decision-making) [35][36][37][38][39][40][41], material selection [42], risk assessment [43], medical diagnosis [44], mobile robots [45], investment selection [46] and forecasting [47].…”

“…When assessing distance measures, one can find diverse tools in the literature (Li et al, 2018), e.g., the Euclidean distance, the Levenshtein distance, the Lee distance, and the Damerau-Levenshtein distance. In the present paper, we use the Hamming distance; the main characteristic of this well-known similarity measure is its ability to measure the difference between two strings, elements or sets.…”

“…More recently, the application of the induced vector has been applied to the concept of distance in the decision-making science (see e.g. Li, Sun, & Zeng, 2018). The result of these combinations are the induced OWA operators with distances e.g.…”
