Abstract:We report here an immunocompetent 38-year-old man who presented with sepsis due to invasive non-typhoidal salmonella infection. He initially presented with watery diarrhea followed by subjective fever, chills, cough, and night sweats 1 week later. Blood cultures were positive for salmonella group B and CT abdomen showed multiple enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes. Further workup did not reveal any underlying immunodeficiencies including lymphoma and HIV.
