Abstract:We describe a case of a previously healthy unvaccinated man in his 70s who developed penicillin-susceptible bacteraemic invasive pneumococcal disease due to non-vaccine serotype 23B with the unusual manifestations of multifocal myositis, intramuscular abscesses, polyarticular septic arthritis and synovitis.
