Abstract:We formulate an inverse optimal design problem as a Mathematical Programming problem with Equilibrium Constraints (MPEC). The equilibrium constraints are in the form of a second-order conic optimization problem. Using the so-called Implicit Programming technique, we reformulate the bilevel optimization problem as a single-level nonsmooth nonconvex problem. The major part of the article is devoted to the computation of a subgradient of the resulting composite objective function. The article is concluded by nume… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
