Abstract: The mechanisms of the upward and outwards growth of the Tibetan Plateau are crucial for understanding the geodynamic significance of Cenozoic continental collisions. Northeastern Tibet has been suggested as one of the youngest deforming and uplifting margins surrounding the plateau.
