Abstract:In this study, the effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and strength (micro-hardness) of an aluminum–lithium (Al-Li) base alloy containing copper (Cu) and scandium (Sc) were investigated, with a view to enhancing the alloy performance for aerospace applications.
