Abstract:This work describes a series of investigations carried out on sets of pristine and auxetic (negative Poisson's ratio (NPR)) open‐cell polyurethane foams subjected to relative humidity (RH) conditioning ranging from 9% to 92% at room temperature. The foams have been produced using a uniaxially thermoforming process. Pristine and auxetic foams have then been subjected to quasi‐static compressive cyclic loading (with maximum strains of 10% and 80%, respectively), as well as vibration transmissibility tests with b… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
