Abstract:This paper reports polymer−nanoparticle-based complex coacervate (PNCC) hydrogels prepared by mixing anionic nanogels synthesized by polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) and cationic branched poly(ethylenimine) (bPEI). Specifically, poly(3-sulfopropyl methacrylate) 58 -b-poly(2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl succinate) 500 (PKSPMA 58 -PMES 500 ) nanogels were prepared by reversible addition−fragmentation chaintransfer (RAFT)-mediated PISA. These nanogels swell on increasing the solution pH and form free-standin… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
