Abstract:Billets made of bronze Br010S2N3 are usually produced using a permanent mold casting technique with a low product yield. Properties of the bars 25 mm in diameter obtained using an upcasting method with different casting rates (from 120 to 280 mm/min) are investigated in the present work. It is shown that with increase in casting rate the amount of γ -Cu 3 Sn intermetallic phase in the bronze microstructure increases slightly that leads to an increase in wear resistance.
