Investigation of Electrochemical Behaviour of Chromium(VI)-Dithiocarbamate Complexes: Detection of Chromium(VI) in Real Samples

Abstract: A facile, rapid and sensitive catalytic hydrogen signal method has been developed for the analysis of chromium(VI) using two new ligands Ammonium N-phenylpiperazine-1-carbodithioate (APP-CDT) and Ammonium N-benzylpiperidine-1-carbodithioate (ABP-CDT) were synthesized. The method was depending on the reaction of chromium(VI) with APP-CDT and ABP-CDT at pH 8.6 and 7.8 respectively in supporting electrolyte (NH 4 Cl-NH 4 OH) medium.
