Abstract:The qualitative mechanisms of stationary filtration convection in a near-critical Van-der-Waals gas with substantial temperature variations are investigated. The object of the study is a thin porous ring in a vertical heat-conducting plane, saturated with the gas. An adequate mathematical model, based on the averaging of the two-dimensional equations over the ring thickness, is proposed. The dependence of natural-convection characteristics on the non-Boussinesq parameters (compressibility criteria, temperature… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
