Investigation of Four-Channel Photonic Crystal Wavelength Division Demultiplexer

Abstract: The resonance rule and coupled characteristics of two dimensional triangle lattice photonic crystal ring resonator and micro-cavity are studied. A novel efficient four-channel wavelength division demultiplexer is proposed, which is based on the structure composed by a ring resonator and two micro-cavities. The device realizes the wavelength division demultiplexing with wavelengths of 1471, 1511, 1551, 1591 nm, and the size of the device is reduced significantly.
