Abstract:In practically all enterprises of gas and petrochemical industry cooling of main and auxiliary process equipment is carried out by means of recirculated water supply systems equipped with cooling towers. In general, the efficiency of the cooling process is determined by packing devices (sprinklers) designed to provide the necessary contact surface of the phases with minimal aero- and hydrodynamic resistances. This article describes the design of the cooling tower sprinkler
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
