Investigation of Infrared Thermography of Cortical Bone Grinding in Neurosurgery

Abstract: In this work, an effort has been made to determine the effect of different shape surgical burr on the thermogenesis during bone osteotomy. The abrasion during bone grinding leads to heat generation and subsequently rise in the temperature which may have adverse effects such as osteonecrosis, blood coagulation in the carotid artery, damage to sciatic nerves, and even loss of vision. So, mitigating the temperature rise during bone grinding is of paramount importance. Especially, in endoscopic endonasal approach … Show more

“…The electron transport in TiO 2 thin films is inhibited due to charge confining, recombination, and scattering effects of grain boundary. , Adding rGO into TiO 2 films can efficiently address these issues and enhance radiation absorbance and carrier mobility with less recombination of charge carriers as compared to native TiO 2 films . Photoanodes comprising Au nanoparticles (GNPs) in the TiO 2 layer unavoidably experience oxidation at high temperatures; hence, GNPs turn into reduced GO .…”
