Investigation of Low‐Temperature Sintering Mechanism on BaONd2O3TiO2 Dielectric Ceramics with Li2OB2O3‐SiO2 and BaOZnOB2O3 Glasses

Abstract: In this paper, the BaO─Nd 2 O 3 ─TiO 2 (BNT) ceramics are synthesized at low temperature with the assistance of Li 2 O─B 2 O 3 ─SiO 2 (LBS) and BaO─Z-nO─B 2 O 3 (BZB) glasses. The influences of glasses on the sintering behavior, phase composition, microstructure, activation energy (E a ) on the BNT ceramics are studied in detail. The results show that a new phase, Ba 2 LiB 5 O 10 , is formed from the chemical reaction between LBS and BZB glasses. The sintering temperature of BNT ceramics can be effectively red… Show more

“…Compared with the pure BNTCN ceramic, the sample at x = 5 presented three endothermic peaks in the temperature range of 730~750°C. These peaks were identified as endothermic melting peaks 15 . As described in the experimental procedures, the LB glass consists of the L and B glass.…”

“…These peaks were identified as endothermic melting peaks. 15 As described in the experimental procedures, the LB glass consists of the L and B glass. Hence, the DSC peaks at 730.4°C and 741.9°C could be recognized as the melting temperature of B and L glass, respectively.…”
