Abstract:Active fillers such as carbon black and silica are added to rubber to improve its mechanical and viscoelastic properties. These fillers cause reinforcement in rubber compounds through physical and/or chemical interactions. Consequently, the compounds' rheological, mechanical, and viscoelastic behavior are affected.
