Abstract:Recently, Pt‐free and highly efficient, nanostructured M–N–C catalysts employing earth‐abundant metals (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, etc.) have been recognized as a very promising alternative to noble metal (in particular platinum)‐ based oxygen reduction reaction materials.
