Investigation of Some Endogenous Antimicrobial Peptides in Thalassemia

Abstract: The aim of this work was a comparative study of the amount of antimicrobial peptides - human neutrophil peptides - defensins (HNP), hepcidin, bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein (BPI), and endotoxin in β-thalassemia.
