Abstract:Experiments of shock wave/boundary layer interactions over a nominally two-dimensional compression ramp are conducted in a Mach 4 Ludwieg tube tunnel. Measurements of Schlieren, Rayleigh scattering, and surface pressure are performed to present the relevant flow features. The effects of two parameters, namely the Reynolds number based on the length of the flat plate and the ramp angle, on the flow stabilities are focused on.
