Investigation of stresses in a Kevlar (491PR-286) material disc by the Chebyshev pseudospectral method

Abstract:In this study, a composite disc with Kevlar (491PR-286) material was modeled. Kevlar consists of very strong fibers of very light carbon origin. That is why they are used quite often in unmanned aerial vehicles and spacecraft. The disc has been subjected to thermal stress under a linearly increasing temperature distribution.
