Investigation of the (100) Surface of the Ce3Pd20Si6 Intermetallic Cage Compound

Abstract: Intermetallic cage compounds have crystal structures characterized by three-dimensional frameworks of host atoms forming cages that may be filled with guest atoms. They can be considered as a class of complex metallic alloys (CMA), a broad family of crystalline materials having large or giant unit cells in which a cluster substructure exists.Their bulk physical properties have attracted interest in recent years, particularly as several of them are considered as promising thermoelectric materials. As a differen… Show more

“…dense planes with a high content of the lowest surface energy element presenting large interlayer spacing in the bulk . However, when dealing with complex intermetallic compound surfaces, more corrugated surface structures may arise, as already observed in a few cases, in the form of highly cohesive clusters emerging from the bulk lattice.…”

“…Basilicata et al (2018) identified a series of precursors of IPP and VPP in gastrointestinal digested buffalo milk and its dairy products (yogurt, ice-cream, and Mozzarella cheese). An ACE-inhibitory tetrapeptide IPPK was identified from a buffalo milk hydrolyzed by papain (Abdel-Hamid, Otte, De Gobba, Osman, & Hamad, 2017). Qula is a naturally acidified crude cheese made by yak milk, in which LAB are the dominant microflora (Duan et al, 2008).…”
